Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of Phase (“we,” “our,” or “the app”). By creating an account or using the app, you agree to these Terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the app.

What Phase Is

Phase is a coach-led nutrition tracking tool. Coaches assign macro targets to their clients; clients log food intake and track adherence to those targets. Phase does not provide medical, dietary, or nutritional advice of its own — all targets, guidance, and recommendations come from the coach you’ve chosen to work with, not from us.

Not Medical Advice

Phase is not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always seek the advice of a physician or other qualified health provider before making significant changes to your diet, especially if you have a medical condition. Your coach’s certifications, if any, are self-reported and displayed as provided — we do not independently verify them.

Your Account

• You must be at least 16 years old to create an account.
• You’re responsible for keeping your password secure and for all activity under your account.
• You agree to provide accurate information when logging food, weight, and check-ins — the app’s adherence scoring and your coach’s guidance depend on it.
• A client account becomes linked to a coach via an invite code or link; a client can end that relationship at any time from the Me tab (Remove coach), and a coach can contact us to end it.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the app for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to another user’s account or data
• Interfere with or disrupt the app’s infrastructure
• Impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation with a coach or client

Third-Party Data

Food search results come from the USDA FoodData Central API, a public government database. We don’t guarantee the accuracy or completeness of that data, and you’re responsible for verifying nutrition information that matters to you (e.g. allergens).

Disclaimer of Warranties

Phase is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We don’t guarantee the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any adherence score or macro calculation will be perfectly accurate.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Phase and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app, including any health outcomes resulting from following a coach’s guidance.

Termination

You may stop using the app and request account deletion at any time (see our Privacy Policy for how). We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We’ll update the “Last updated” date above when we do. Continued use of the app after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
